3 reasons to warm up in Startup Sauna

twice a year in Helsinki runs a monthly program of one of the best accelerators in Europe – Startup Sauna. A week and a half ago called spring batch, during which 17 start-UPS from Europe, Russia and Africa is worked, not sparing the stomach, to bring their companies to the next level.
Participation in the program is free, plus flights and accommodation will allocate 1500 Euro. The applications for participation filed more than 400 startups, our team of remote Siberian Tomsk was lucky enough to qualify. We share impressions about the month unique life experience.
Startup Sauna is a free public - coworking in the campus of Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. In the days of the acceleration program crowded: two participants from 17 teams, the organizers, plus startups, students and staff – recruited 50 to 60 people every day.
The site operates on the principle – who the first has risen – that and tapki. You come in the morning, choose any table and the work, and when finished clean up afterwards. The next day can choose a different workspace.
There is a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook Breakfast, free coffee machine. Of course, round the clock access to the main fuel start – UPS- beer. To provide them with 60 people a day, needed thousands of bottles of beer.
the Problem: how should startup founders to drag 6,000 bottles of beer?
Every Wednesday, the teams combined for NAT. the basis and set the task – to organize a BBQ party for 60 people. Budget is 400 euros. Party starts at 18:00. No one is in control, but at 6pm 60 person suddenly starts to demand food from you.
It is important that teams compete, one party will be beautiful. In the course are culinary talents, cultural practices. It turned out that to arrange a really fun party for a crowd is not easy.

Each day 1-3 lectures, practical tasks, 1-on-1 coaching session. Within a month the top managers, Vice presidents, investors, business owners spend tens of hours to one of you turned out beautiful, Packed a startup where you can invest money.
The organizers and coaches are doing their work pro bono (for free). And expect that participants will take advantage of the opportunities that they provide, will learn, and apply new knowledge. From the Sauna we came out new people.
For a month we came up with and tested strategy of entering the market, identified segments and channels to attract customers, checked them and collected the traction. Shoveled a bunch of analysts, built a financial plan, figure out how much money we need to bring the company to a new level (from the point of view of the investor).
We better focus on the product, we deliver a unique experience to our customers. We know that you have to throw out product, and that you want to add. Came up with features which are lacking. We also created a 3 day community that have attracted us more than the first 500 users.
All participants of the Startup Sauna a lot of work ahead, according to the statistics of the program some of us will get in the next two years, millions of investment. Someone close, someone will make a way.
